Try to contact commodorenut on the Street Commodores site.

http://www.streetcommodores.com/

The chassis no doesnt give a lot of info about the cars equipment.

The SS was based on the base model 8VK69 with an option code of XV2 and was initially a

VH8 is definitely VH and matches your 82 build date.

Model no is probably VH8VK69-XV2.

XV2 is SS not XB2.

If it is a factory SS its not worth any where near a brock ss car, in poor cond I wouldnt pay more than $1000-1500 being generous, I bought a VH factory V8 SLX in driving cond with tidy body for $250.

I agree with Cloudy. The "group 1" SS wasn't a HDT build if I remember correctly so it won't attract the Brock price tag.

The Group 1 was HDT but only around 9 were ever made as the Group 3 was more popular. It's the base VH SS (made by GMH) that would be hard pushed to get a decent price.

It would want to be a pretty clean example in extremely good condition to command big $$.

There are some asking silly prices ($10K+) but they don't sell.

Others have been caught out thinking they were buying a Brock, not realising a base VH SS never

VH8VK69:

VH = VH model
8VK = trim level (SL)
69 = sedan

184 is an option pack code.

In VH, the first digit is the trim level:
1 = SL
2 = SL/X
3 = SL/E

The second digit is the engine:
4 = Starfire 4
6 = 173 & 202 6
8 = 253 & 308 V8
