so with the price of monaros through the roof now
do you think the old hk ht hg sedans ,utes and panelvans will become as valuable in the future

maybe not as valuable as the monaros but look at the way the prices are going already. i bought my hk 307 prem just over a year ago for $3500 & was offered $6000 for it 2 weeks later, i insured it for $8000 sight unseen & have seen them advertised for bet

That's interesting, 'cause I reckon the utes are the pick of the bunch (Redneck Monaro!). Sure Monaro's look nice, but EVERYONE wants one of them, which for me take a a bit of the appeal away (as strange as that sounds). Anyhow, I'm near finishing my ute

If you look back in history EHs were comanding "big dollars" a few years ago and have now settled again and just about the same price is paid for FE to HR sedans. HK will do the same. Right now you cannot give away VB commodores, they will rise in a few y

Personally I think the Sandman will be worth more than other panelvans/utes but not like the prices they were pulling 10 years ago, sorry.

The only varible in this is as the guys from the 70s/80s get to late middle age, in about 5 - 10 years, they may

Keep your eye on V8 prems even up to HZ, I was innsuring my HX factory 5.0 prem and the guy at shannons said the 5.0lt` cars are rare and worth hanging onto.

The last Monaros have still got a long way to fall, they will be selling for as low as $10k in about 5 years time, find a good one and put it away then.

There is also gong to be the HDT/HSV factor for 80s on Commodores. It might come down to only plate

I think the VB/VC/VH SLE commodores will retain some level of value depending on engine.

Sandman values still bounce wildly - people will pay good money for average examples but wont pay for a restored version. As always a combination of scarcity an
