Do you know at what time Holden started putting the rod reliefs in all 304 blocks for the 350 stroker engines. I just wanted to build a 350 stroker up out of a 304/308 and if the right block comes up it will mean less machine work for me.

Early in VR mate.
I have it written down that somewhere from around engine number VU625xxx is when the changeover was, so if you pick one with a higher number, you'll be right.
The ultimate block is a VT roller, but just try finding one!

Do you have diagrams or pictures of where to die grind? My only concern was after carefully cleaning a block, sticking new bearings and a brand new stroker crank, rods and pistons in then having to start grinding, testing, grinding and then cleaning again |
