Guys
Can anyone tell me if the 5-row radiators as fitted to HQ 350 powered vehicles work OK? The ones with the very close "mesh" looking centre with the offset fins. I need a BIG radiator for my Overlander, and I can get one of these in excellent condition cheap. I'll just swap the tanks over to Holden V8 examples. I've heard that they don't work as well as say a 4-row WB or even normal 4 row HZ style. It's just a 308 now, but will be at least 350 cubes in the future so I'm looking at upgrading now rather than cleaning and repairing the old 3 row.

Byron, I have a 5 row triple flow desert cooler in my 400 hq and a 3 row wb radiator in my 350 tonner.I,d say the wb crossflow radiator is on a par with the 5 row as far as cooling goes.I run a big plastic flex fan on the 350 and a clutch fan on the 400.

This isn't an aftermarket, it's a genuine HQ 350 radiator with the wierd core. It's about hslf the price of a WB 4-row, and easier to fit.
