my friends just droped a 308 into has 87 commo wagon and hasnt got an alt to suit the factory plug on the lume can anyone tell us which wires go where on the lume so we can hook into the hq alt he has put on it cheers

hi 1st if the motor is from a hq you may have rego and epa?adr probs if the car had a holden 6 on it befor just use the same alternator if not 87? nissen motor alt may not fit cant remmember it may have had 3 wires and an in built reg not as in ex fack it |
looking for an ex ambulance based on the hj/x/z 2 tonner see photo
and collector of all things ambulance police fire and the odd hq to wb parts |

More info needed. Was the car a 6 or an 8 to begin with? What engine loom did you use?

Easier to just buy a VL onwards alternator.
A HQ alternator won't be much use to you, but you may be able to use an internally regulated one off a HJ onwards. The wire in the VL harness that goes to the L terminal of the VL V8 alternator that goes to the |
