Hi I have an xa coupe but all the wiring is either butchered or just no good whats the best way to fix this ? is there anywhere that sells full wiring for coupes front to back ? It has been made up to look like cobra on outside undecided whether to redo like this or return to xa shape , any ideas ?

hi, I've heard people talking about "painless wiring" looms. It wouldn't be original though as i think they use GM style fuse boxes. I not too sure but i think Rare Spares carry them ?!

Is it the dash, engine bay or the whole loom stuffed? I don't know of anyone making full reproduction looms for the XAs and XBs. If you can't find a new one you can always try and find a sedan wreck and pull the loom out of that.

DON'T USE PAINLESS WIRING THEY ARE CRAP.

I had the same problem in my XB coupe and and ended up using a sedan loom all you have to do is cut the two plugs off that go to the rear door light switch.Apart from those 2 plugs they are identical

thanks , and yes virtually from front to back no good , to give you'se an idea of what it is like there were only 3 wires to the steering column and when my father went to get lights working they found all the earths taped together and not touching metal

I am sure I have seen the rear loom 4 sale for these vehicles repro.

Ill be in the shed in the next 2 days ill have a gander and see what nick they are in. The fronts will be roughly the same but the mid section is set up for power windows and door lights ,i have a gxl rear loom to....

I found a company that makes full looms but they are in no way cheap. $1600 exchange.
