you could use a "Speed Cut Defender" like all the guys use on their jap cars... But honestly, mate, why?

Has anyone ever actually met somebody who has pole vaulted a car with a tailshaft? Mythbusters tried this some time ago and found that their car (a 67 Plymouth Fury) jumped a couple of feet and landed again whilst the tailshaft speared back into the boot

I don't know of anyone who has pole vaulted on to their roof but I did havea friend years ago who totalled his genuine HJ Sandman van around 1989 on the Williamtown to Medowie Rd (near Newcastle) when the front of the tailshaft dug in to the road.

Not first hand. So mythbusters... what speed were they doing? What does the car weigh? Bear in mind we're talking about removing the speed limiter (that's past 180) on a falcon that will easily do that speed in third. Also, the warning was for a wagon, o |

It's interesting that you mention that the wagons are speed limited for a reason.
I use a lot of hire cars for work and over the past couple of years they have been usually BA Falcon sedans and wagons.

In Germany thay say stupidity is the main 'factor' in road accidents. not just the speed kills line. daft! department of revenue toss? wake up Australia. qld gov do not support advance driving courses? vote 1 ALP !shewill be right mate.
