I've just got a retrofit to the HJ. It's an integrated setup from an HZ Statesman and have replaced the compressor, TX valve, drier and I am running an auxiliary fan. It was gassed with the correct amount of R134a but doesn't seem to get cool enough. It is only a ute sized cabin after all. The supplier where I bought the compressor said that most cars have an adjustment to the thermostat somewhere underneath near, or in, the air box that you can adjust if it's not cool enough but, I don't know where this adjuster is. Can anyone help or with any other suggestions? The evaporator and condenser are OK and the system has been flushed to make sure it's clean. Please help.

cheers...bluHJ

Hi Guys.

If your's is a factory-fitted Frigidaire a/cond system, they don't have a thermostat, they use a suction throttling valve. These systems suffer in performance with R134a, so get a 2nd opinion. It's important that the condenser gets good air fl
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thanks Terry. Saves me a job looking for it. Yes it is a factory fitting. The condenser has a good air flow as well as an auxiliary fan. The TX valve, compressor and drier are new. What is the POAST valve and where is it? What does it do and i
