My 2003 BA XT has started consuming too much fuel. Ford service advised me the issue is with the fuel pump & the injectors. They have asked me to get the entire tank cleaned & all the fuel lines flushed. Then get the fuel pump & injectors cleaned. I have so far replaced the fuel & air filter & also cleaned the injectors. Although the problem still resides as XT is still giving me around 160Ks for 30lts. I am not really sure if I should still go for rest of the above recommended by ford which will easily set me back by atleast $2000. My next option is to get it dual-fuel retrofitted. But I haven't seen many BA's (cabs)with dual-fuel or gas. Does anyone know will this firstly solve the problem I am having with mileage & secondly if there are any known issues with this conversion. My XT has already done 150,000Ks.

I would take it to a good dyno tune place & tell them about the problem. They may just know the common causes of this problem.

It could be something as simple as a failed oxygen sensor.
