Would installing one of these onto a 5litre v8, with a big cam, not much vacuum at low revs help? Mainly after vacuum for the brakes at low revs. What's this things place on a standard car?? There was an article in latest Street Machine mag, page 140. What does every one think?

the artical in street machine was reffering to crankcase vaccume, not manifold, and they recomended one from an 18R toyota engine (early corrola i think).
for brake vaccume you are probably best to use a vaccume canister.

Some diesels use a pump off the back of the alternator but you have to have an oil feed as they are pressure lubed. My Nissan 720 had this.
