Hey guys. Sorry to chew your ear again but....

fittin head to my engine. Kept the lifters in order, but gave no second thought to the head bolts. On inspection, all bolts are the same length, but a couple have threads that run down the bolt a little bit further than the others. I have 2 sets & they both are the same.

GMH manual doesnt suggest keeping in order, and there is no suggestion that certain bolts should be in certain holes.

Am I fine to fit them 'willy nilly' without worrying about the thread length??

Cheers, HarryO

No particular order. You must fit thread sealant. The thread holes go into the water jackets and must be sealed with the correct thread sealer. Genuine Holden sealer is often used by most engine builders.

Cheers Peter. Was just in the process of deleting topic after forging ahead with the install when you replied. Fitted as is with great result. (bought GMH sealant from A'Bahn for $49. It is Gen Holden (3835215) which was quite surprising. Same part number
