If I remember correctly as an estimate on a manual transmission you are looking at around 15% loss and on an automatic transmission you are looking at 20% loss.

Manual - Flywheel HP to Rearwheel HP x.85
Automatic - Flywheel HP to Rearwhe

Yeah your calc looks fine to me, if it's a manual your dealing with then you're going on the side of caution. Knowing cars that's always a good idea.

You can't use flywheel ratings for anything at all. Whee

Peter as I said before I was just curious on the conversions. The time slips told the story but I was always interested to see how much each extra 50 hp of N2O was actually giving us at the engine.100 hp of N20 gave us 118.26 mph in a 2700 lb Lc 4dr. 150

Nice stuff. I have always been wanting to do a similar thing with the old 253. As they are cheap and relatively disposable. I know it was in a race car but what tranny set-up didyou use(ie manual or auto)

Thanks. Less yellow stickers when you dont stand out. A mat black LJ 4dr that a mate and I both owned copped 27 yellow stickers and three reds in a year and a half between us.You tend to get sick of the process after a while.
