Hi all, I've just fitted up the reconditioned caliper to the drivers side of the ZD and notice that when I turn the rotor there is some drag occurring. The tin plate that braces the caliper (Kelsy Hayes) was bent and I straightened it up to match the one on the other side before refitting the assembly. should I chase another brace or just fit up the other caliper on the other side, bleed the system and see how it all looks then?

How much drag is there? There is ususally a bit of drag with new pads when they are first fitted. You will need a bit of effort to turn the rotor but it shouldn't be too tight.
If you have drag in some areas of the disc but not others, check the runout

Hi Dave. The rotors are brand new DBA ones so they're OK as far being true goes. The drag is only slight so going on your observation about new pads dragging a little i reckon i will fit the other caliper and bleed the system. Thanks for your help.

Hi Glen,
Sounds pretty normal to me for new pads.
See what they're like when you bleed them. If you get stuck, give me a yell and I'll come have a squizz for you (I assume you're still in Perth).
Cheers...Dave

Thanks for the offer Dave, I'll bleed the system tomorrow and see how it all stacks up. Cheers
