LJ GTR = JL prefix
LJ GTR XU1 = JP or NP (Factory replacement).
Yeah, a JP would have to be worth more than $5K nowadays!

note that the 173S was available in LC GTR only. The 161S had a prefix of 2600S and was rated at 125 bhp. Both of these motor options were dropped for the LJ. Edited by user Wednesday, 1 August 2007 5:07:06 AM(UTC)

Dr Terrys '50 years of Holden' book lists the 173S I believe that not to many were built with this motor it would be a rare car now , it would be rarer than a 161S for surviving numbers. The opel 4 speed was still used in the LJ but only for export models
