Hi Luke,

How much for bottom end in reasonable nick? How much for complete motor? Why do you have heaps of them? Most were rolled into a ditch years ago - no-one wanted them because 202s were a better prospect. Any idea how much to get one to Canberra?

Hi Luke,

I think youve misunderstood David. He wants a 173S (LJ GTR motor), not any 173.

Cheers...Dave

Hi Adam,

I wish you well chasing $2500. Im not that keen to get an original motor - if I cant get what I want for a few hundred then I wont bother.

Please tell me if Im wrong, but I recall the 173S-Opel combination in the later LC GTRs was faster t

I have never seen a 173S block
however, the LC GTR did run 161S.,

why don't you go for a 179HP with 149 head? that was always a good stocko combo.
