Old HZ elec winds with VS wind switches possible??

wondering if anyone knows or has done a vs elec windows switches conversion in a hq-wb with elec windows? will the vs switches be strong enough for the old elec windows? maybe a relay or something can be used?? as i would like to fit the newer looking switches...

Very easy swap - as long as you use the VS fronts and rears as a set.
I can help you with wire colours & pinouts (scan or copy the diagram for you).
The VS doesn't use a relay on the windows, and the switches can handle the current loading of being |

ah great. they are going into a ute, so i would only need fronts. either ust singles in each door or prob would be better to have a pair in the console so i can operate the passenger side from the drivers seat. are they all black? or grey? as ideal |

The switches themselves feel like they have less capacity, but that's the way it's designed. The contacts are "clicked over" by a bowed metal tang - meaning for a small press, it flicks across with a fair amount of pressure due to the bowed tang (a bit l |

thanks heaps for your help mick! its been very helpful. ill have to search ebay for some switches and looms. so i take it the calais/stato ones are the better looking ones? hopefuly i can find some in black, but if not ill hit you up on the swap and i |

The switches are the same across all VN-VS power window models. Those with only fronts, or utes, simply use a pair of rear door switches in the console (as you are planning) while all 4 power windows use the other style of 2-row switches.

yeh cheers i did see them a while back but i want to go for the modern look as i dont have any chrome inside the ute and am going for a whitish/cream leather with black dash facia and black carpet so i think the black modern switches would look alot bette
