I have rebuilt a 308 and had the heads shaved,new valves and the block was also machined. Do I need to run shims under my rocker gear? I am running new hydraulic cam and standard rockers.

Running hydraulic lifters should automaticly adjust most minor changes but it depends on the hight of the valve stems valve seats and how much your head was shaved if its all standard you should not have any problem .
