i got a pre pollution 253 i pulled it out of a hj and put in a ute. had it running fine but it started whining. i thought it was gouging the bore removed the heads but nothing. has a broken pushrod any ideas?

I had a similar prob with 400 chev. A high pitched, whistling, screaming noise and rough running. I thought all sorts of things were tearing themselves apart.
It turned out to be a poor seal in the intake manifold gasket, and the noise was the air bi |
