Hi all, what type of system can I use to get a nice grumpy note out of a VS-v6 (no smart remarks about useing a v8) ally.

A 2.5" catback system will be the way to go. Any exhaust shop will get one in and fit it for you or if you are in the mood for some work you can buy them ready to install from Auto1, Repco etc... an exhaust shop will give you a range of nice t

Does that mean you keep the "original" cat and just replace rear pipe?

Yes, that's correct, the new exhaust is from the cat's rear flange to the back of the car.

Well if it's in an FJ the option of a proper dual exhaust system is open to you. Something that is not on the cards for a V6 Commodore owner.

I don't know how a dual system would sound on the Commodore V6 engine but could get back to you after a year

Jim, duel option is out for me because of drop fuel tank on driving side. AL.
