Hey all,
Is the XB coupe interior different to the sedan interior?(apart from front seats of course) What parts from the sedan can i utilize to put into the coupe? e.g headlining dash rear seats etc.
The reason for all this is that i'm looking at buying a goss coupe and i need to know what interior parts i can use and still be original.
Cheers
Alex

Hi Alex,
the dash and centre console and the door handle surround, arm rests and the chrome door lock button are the same. The Goss interior is white as I'm sure you'd know and the interior is Falcon, not Fairmont. The sedan front seats can be used if

Dashboard, console, kick panels, armrests, sun visors, interior light and inner door handles are about it.Front & rear seats, door trims, parcel shelf, seat belts & scuff plates are all different.Coupe rear window winders are also shorter than sedan ones.

You can use quite a few parts off the sedan, especially the mechanical side of things. All the front end parts such as guards, bumper, grille etc etc. Rear bumper off the XB sedan is different and so is everything from the front guards back. How much s

Missing: all the guards on the front, the bonnet, the bootlid, the grille, the interior is completely gutted, no motor, all that's left is metal.
Will the sedn bootlid fit the coupe?
Thanks for all your help paul and anthony, i appreciate it

Sedan boot lid won't fit.Coupe boot lid is unique and bloody hard to find without rust or spoiler holes drilled into it.
Steering & brakes will interchange.Firewall/plenum is a big job but plenty of people have done it.

Coupe boot lids are rare but do pop up for sale on ebay from time to time and usually sell for between $130 and $150.

Check out some of these links for bits.

Here is another one the XA,B,C hardtops use the XA sedan rear bumper bar. The XB rear bar fits but is missing the kick ups on the ends.

Did you buy that rust bucket that was on eBay in Dubbo a couple of weeks ago? The one I am talking about is discu

reading over the john goss website, it looks like the gossy had GS options, e.g dash, sports console, bonnet etc. which means that any donor car i get will have to have these options; making life alot harder!
Any ways out of this?

I don't think that GS options are that hard to get as there were a lot of GS sedans, wagons & even vans made (maybe utes too).

XA sedans are getting rarer but at least it makes the bumper easier to find as you are not paying a premium for a hardtop

Another thing too XA doors are different to XB & XC doors right across the range. The XA has a recess for the door handle pressed into it's skin & the XB/XC has a hole because the recess is part of the handle.
