Hi guys. Im running a 308 on straight gas, and the other day my mixer decided to keep freezing up. The hose from the engine to the mixer and the one from the mixer to the water pump were both unblocked. I have been able to blow water through the mixer so its not blocked either. I ran the engine with the hose from the manifold to the mixer off at the mixer and no water was pushed out... Should it have been? Could I have a blockage in there somewhere? Thanx in advance....

If it's freezing it means you have no water flow. No water flow means a blockage or no water in the engine.

It's more than likely an air lock. When you say mixer, I take it that you mean the convertor. Take off one of the hoses to the convertor and let the collant run out. Reconnect and run again. Should be ok. Mine gets an airlock every time I discon

It could be blocked if its one of those older styled converters. Im talking very old style.
These things are a 2 or maybe 3 stage regulator that converts the liquid LPG to a gas and if the fist stage area has failed then the large pressure drop over the

you said you have been topping it up? Do you have headgasket problems? even minor headgasket trouble will stuff your converter around.

Until recently it was quite possible for me to have a boiling engine with a frozen converter.
