I was wondering about hiring my car for weddings etc.Im in SA and have assumed there would be some sort of bull**** id have to go through to do it legally(insurance etc).

In Victoria you need a RHV licence Restricted Hire Vehicle. They are issued by the Taxi Directorate. The taxi authority in your state would be the likely place to check. |

ring a weddingcar hire company they would point you in the right direction, I have heard the chaufuer plates cost a bundle ,taxi plates are over $100,000.

Not that expensive, but we got one for the EH Limo no probs. We have been checked up upon by Taxi Directorate officers. They check for drivers certificate also (Required in addition to drivers licence in Vic) |
