i'd like to know if i'm going to have trouble with compression and pinging if i put my 2v heads that have 4v valves and are closed chamber on my bottom end that i've put 2gether using the 302 rods on the 351 crank? any info will be very appreciated

Depends on the camshaft. Once you do it, you'll be limited to 98ron fuel only. If your block isn't zero decked? You'll have around 10.5:1/10.7:1 compression. The bigger the camshaft the more compression bleed off you will have.

Im sure there are a couple of different 2V heads, chamber wise.I think 302 2V heads had about 57cc chambers and 351 2V heads were a bit bigger.Because of the 302 heads smaller chamber they are sort after overseas as they were only made in Australia,I run

yeah these are 302 2v's but wit 4v vavles...any ideas on what would be the best cam? i wanna drive reliably on the street but also run it at wsid.

Recommending cams is abit of a minefield,it depends on your combo(what diff ratio,stall speed,manual or auto,weight of car etc etc).Ring any of the cam manufacturers and they will ask you all these questions and give you a pretty good idea of what you wil

SO can anyone tell me what happens to the cubic capacity if you run a 351 crank with 302 heads and 302 rods

Nothing. The capacity can only be changed by stroking the crank.The rod length has no effect on capacity.

Righto i am doing a bit of cleveland history hear. In the USA there is no 302 cleveland. only aus 302 cleveland. So when XW falcon got the 351 C, did we get the 302 C? As far as i know, we started making our aus C in about 1/2 way through 1972. Hea

Some 302 equipped XY's had the Windsor and some had the Cleveland so I'd guess that the 302C was introduced during XY/ZD production.

I can only find march 1972, for the start of aussie made cleveland. And have found a brisbane JH, 302 cleveland dec 1971? it must of been assembled from the USA import using a aus made crank? ???????????

Interesting. Or did someone flog the 51 crank out of the motor and replace it with a 302 crank? I've seen that done a few times.
