Never heard of them until yesterday. What a cool model if they had a big engine in them. Dunno about the 1300cc thing? |

IIRC, the TA Torana was a stop-gap model until Holden had a 4 cyl LH ready.
I actually prefer the TA tail-lights to the LJ ones but never got around to putting a set in any of my LJ's.

The info I found pointed to them being the small size stop gap model until the TX Gemimi arrived. The LH was a mid sized Holden arrival. Yeah? |

Ah, yes, you're right Peter...it was the Gemini that Holden were waiting on.

Hi Guys.
Peter, the fact that you make this comment means you don't own a copy of my '50 Years....' book. If you do, have a look at page 108.
The TA Torana was the last of the HB/LC/LJ 4 cylinders (short nose type). It was basically an LJ 4-cylinder |

I've got one Terry, but didn't look it up...
Any idea of the "On Sale" date for the 60 Years version yet?
Cheers...Dave

Hi AMLagonda.
The only Opel motor fitted to Toranas was the 1900 (Black) 4-cylinder in LH, LX & early UC series. All the 4-cylinder engines used in HB/LC/LJ/TA Toranas were Vauxhall motors including the 1600 & 1760 slant motos.
