Im now the proud owner of a vp commodore although the p/s seems to make glug (as in fluid movement) noises when I turn the wheel a few times while parking etc..(or is this the ac or heater???
Any idea what this would be?
Also it has worn out p205/65/15 tyres
I have some very good 185/70/14's Could I use these?
as on the tyre placard it suggest 185/75/14's
Although it does suggest a different rim...
How can we speed up the fastlane server?
I havent been on fastlane in so long I forget my username!...over 3 or 4 years...

Looks good. To change to 14" tyres obviously you need 14" wheels from a VB-VP series 1 Commodore not hard to find as they made 1000's of them.

The 14" wheels won't fit if you have the larger (V8 type) of front brake calipers which became standard on

Series 1 has 14" wheels standard but 15" wheels were optional they also had an semi clear grille.

Series 2 has 15" wheels standard a body coloured grille & a small series II badge on the back. I have also seen series 2's with an indentation in the cons

To stop the glugging you could try bleeding the power steering. Easily done in a few minutes. Just jack up the front of the car so that both front wheels are off the ground. Place stands under the car if you care about safety. Then start the engine & turn

Ahah!
I had to get the front discs machined for rwc and while i had it up on the stands i started the car and turned the steering wheel to full right lock then left lock a few times to see if would do anything strange as I was a bit concerned about this
