Hi all, New to this site. Have posted these two issues on other sites with limited success so thought I would try here. Just bought a 2003 VY Commodore Station Wagon and now noticed that it has a loud hissing/fan belt noise from the fanbelt/pulleys. Is this normal and if not what could it be. Has been sprayed with WD40 and Beltgrip with No success. Holden dealer seems to think one of the pulleys. Does this sound right. Also yesterday was absolutely pissing down and noticed the two ends of the rear seat were wet. Would appear that the top of the door seals have leaked. Is this normal and do VYs suffer from this or is it a matter of having an expert look at it. Have had some mixed thoughts at work and one bloke said that the VY's were renowned for door leaks. Help needed before taking vehicle to the expensive Dealer.
regards Brad

Have you checked the idler pulley? If the bearing in that is seizing up, which they can do, that could be the cause of your problem. Take the belt off and turn it by hand and feel for any roughness etc. Also while you have the belt off, I'd replace it
