8P37R is a 253 Premier Coupe, Sydney body and built. Build date between Sep 74 and August 75. There should be a "J" at the end for HJ series.
60T would be Chamois trim with cloth inserts.

Sure it's not 60V? Beige/Chamois (early) or Chamois/covert. 1895 is Claret as Warren stated above.

I assumed you ment 60Z but 60V would be Chamois and covert vinyl, no 50V in my records for HJ monaro.

Annoyed it is not a GTS??? Why in hell would you be?? The HJ LS is the rarest monaro ever made. If I remember correctly, there was only around 400 ever built. That makes it rarer than the "rare" limited edition LE. And original HJ LS is worth big big m

337 made to be exact - 81 x 202ci, 150 x 253ci, 106 x 308ci. Not quite the rarest, but awful close - HQ 469 XW8 (GTS350 4 door) is rarer. There were 606 HJ GTS coupes made. An LS was a 2 door Premier so they would have had a Premier dash, but you could op |

I was always under the impression the standard HJ monaro was the rarest of all the monaro/GTS's something like less than 200 made before the base monaro was dropped.

Hi Monaro202.
AFAIK there was no 'standard' Monaro released in the HJ series. The last standard one was an HQ. For HJ, there was only the LS 2-door coupe, the GTS 2-door coupe & the GTS 4-door sedan

Not a spoiler, just the stainless strip that runs along the bottom edge of the boot.

I know that the GTS 350 sedan was "rarer" but Byron this was not a model as such where as the LS was. So the HQ GTS 350 sedan is not as rare as say a Brabham Torana, or many other low volume option packs. How about 250 VS 50th anniversary Statesmans, 150

I agree it's just an optioned Kingswood. But no-one will pay top dollar for a Kingswood, and these command good $. I would move heaven and earth to get hold of one of these if I saw it in a wreckers, but I would just walk past a Kingswood. If an XW8 isn't |
