Hi guys,
I have the new F100 (77 Model) and was wonderin what Auto it has fitted, it is the type that has teh filler tube that runs down and enters the pan with a large nut to secure it?
I am thinking it is either a C4 or C10? but cant remmeber which is which?

c4 has the filler tube going into the front of the gearbox and a c10 has the filler tube going into the pan so its a c10.not that much difference between them,there both good boxes.

does it go into the front right hand side of the c10 pan and its screwed in?

so quick question then, what is the better gearbox for towing???
I have been told that the C10 is better than the C4 and that the C6 is the best box again being better than the C10????
Any assistance would be great!

c6 is a big block auto,im sure you can put it behind a small block (maybe a kit is needed) but its a big heavy box.c10 is basicly a c4 with a few improvements,there both nearly the same as each other.some say the c4 is better some say the c10 is better,th

C6 is not specifically for a big block, in fact they are more commonly seen behind a 302/351 clevo or windsor in f100/150/250 and so on, they are a great simple and reliable auto's with benifets being larger diameter clutch packs and gearsets. C10's a
