Hi again guys. Just wanted some clarification on something. I was under the impression that I had a C4 Auto behind the 250 Xflow in my XF ute but while I was under the car yesterday I noticed the following stamped on the side of the gearbox "Borg Warner 311". I know this now means that I have a Borg Warner gearbox now not a C4 but just wondering what the "311" meant and in your opinions, is this gearbox still a good unit - as good or better than the c4?

g'day fella.
havin' a borg warner ain't the end of the world . They are very cheap to repair and are resonably reliable. The numbers on the auto just relate to the valve body calibration. It will be either a borgwarne 35 or 40 most likeley a 40 .
