Howdy again - how can you tell from a visual inspection if a reco'ed head has had hardened valve seats etc put in fot ULP/LPG? Cheers!

Easy to see, the seat will be an insert made from Stallite or Stainless steel 440 grade and hardened.
The Head would have been machined to except the insert (cut undersize) and the head is heated in an oven to around 450 degrees centigrade, just enough t

you need to pull the ehad/s and closely examine around the valve seats, especially the exhausts as the intakes may not have been done.
the hardened seats will show up as a visually different material to the surroundin metal, may be shinier, etc..
