I seem to recall a discussion on this, but can't track it down.
I have just acquired an HJ Monaro GTS Sedan (back in the game - wahoo). It is tidy, but not immaculate, but a very good driver / project vehicle.
One of the things that I do want to get sorted failry soon is the seat recliner mechanism on the driver's seat. It seems to be loose / broken on the left hand side. It falls back, but grabbing it and pulling forward it clunks and clanks and stays forward for a while.
The bolts and plates on the side seem firm, so where to from here?

Grab any HJ to HZ bucket seat and remove the reclining machanism, not a hard job, and put it onto yur seat. If your seat needs retrimming I would just put the other seat in.

Jabba make sure you have a 1/2 socket that fits in the hole where the bolts are. When you attempt to pull the plastic covers off,you break the clips that press into the metal.File/machine/grind down the socket to fit in.
