does anyone know whether the 302 or 351 was the most popular engine released in the xc coupes and were any released with a 6 cylinder? was the toploader a standard gearbox in the xc? finally if a coupe had a v8 in it was a 9 inch diff standard ? thanks guys

Not sure about what was the most popular engine in the XC coupe. Yes XC coupes were released with a 6 cyl just like the XA and XB coupes. Toploader was not available on the XCs from factory. Toploader box stopped early in the XBs. XCs had the borg war

The most sort after XC is a matching numbers 351c Fairmont coupe/hardtop fully loaded. They are pulling big numbers these days.

Some one I know bought one on 1/7/7, Xc Fairmont Coupe/Hardtop matching numbers; completely stock; fully loaded with all op

good money but i am not doin mine up to sell it i just enjoy the sound and look . why do some refer to them as coupe and some hardtop and paul351xb or xc xcoupe do you know how to check if a coupe came standard with tubs ?thanks for previous responces

Neil, no coupes really came standard with "tubs". The standard coupe is designed to take a 10 inch wheel under those rear quarters. Some coupes did have a wider rear wheel well than standard. In XCs the bathurst Cobras have this done plus the earlier p
