wanted hq bucket seats any condition, must be early type 71 72 model, only really interested in seat back frames, im located in perth
also wanted coupe rear window mouldings

I notice in your post that you are only chasing the seat back frames and this has got me thinking.

Are the seat frames on the two styles of seats different?

They are the same, only the recliner mechanisms differ.

No they are not the same, the padding on the side of the later model seats protudes past the mechanical hinges & becomes a problem in coupes & the holes for the screws are slightly out when trying to fit a early HQ mechanism to a late HQ seat frame. I kno

I was looking at doing this for my HQ SS.

As the seats need a complete overhaul I may be able to make the necessary modifications while they are stripped.

I TOOK THE BUCKETS OUT OF MY HQ THEY WERE STUFFED REPLACED YHEM WITH LASER SEATS COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW BLOODY HEAVY THE OLD HQ SEATS WERE CHEERS

I may have a pair of 72 Statesman Buckets avaliable, less side mechanisms, they are in very good condition, but had the seat bases & back (where you place your arse) have been retimmed in the mid 80's in a wool-berber type fabric (light cream with dark br
