i'm just after the dwell angle range and timing on a 253 red motor cheers, most important is the dwell angle. i'm running straight LPG and want as wide a dwell angle as possible for maximum coil charge. at the moment it's 25.2 degrees

hey dude whats it in. the genarel rule rule is from 26 to 32 degrees thats the lower end of the scale is for the the HT the higher end is for the HZ . should you tune your car to the gas system or your gas system to your car. the gas system came las |

id say it's a late model red motor, it's actually in a WB even though it's meant to be a blue motor. As for the timing i'm after a bench mark first then i will fine tune it to suit the gas. ideally i need an electronic distributor but for the time being i

Coley Have a look on Ebay for one of the Chev HEI style dizzys built to suit a Holden V8. They aren't dear ($100 approx with cap and coil), and just keep the points dizzy and leads in the boot (plus a 1/2" AF spanner) just in case it's unreliable.

hey Terry, i've just bought the car so i dont know about the points burning out yet. i can tell you that it's running a large light brown wire to ballast risistor and a smaller either light brown or pinkish coloured wire aswell. then on the other side of
