Hi all,

I need a new low pressure return pipe for the powersteer in my HZ stato, however the parts shop needs to know the pipe inner diameter and there is nothing written on the current pipe. I'm guessing from the ouside it's a 7/16 pipe, but would anyone know for sure what size it is as I only want to remove the old one when I have the new pipe to stick on straight away. Thanks Peter

Firstly Peter, the pipe you refer to is actually a tube, not a pipe.
Pipes are measured as a wall thickness called "Schedule", and are measured by the I.D.
Tubes are measured as a wall thickness called "Gauge" and measured by the O.D

Well there you go, it's a tube not a pipe! Most likely 3/8 then I'd say. Cheers Peter
