Guys

I have a handful of brand new late LC and LJ XU-1 M20 input shafts if any of you need one for a resto. These are Remanufactured in Japan, and look identical to the NOS V8 M21 examples I have next to them (just shorter). Located in Newcastle, NSW. The quality appears much superior to the old Taiwanese stuff that used to come in.
These are faithful replicas of the original 2825927 shaft with neoprene front seal to suit both the standard XU-1 M20 box (with 2823899 cluster) and the 1973 homologated M21 box (with 2813497 cluster). It can also be used in place of the earlier 2823544 shaft with oil slinger seal, but you need to use the later clutch shaft cover as well - looks identical from the outside.
Almost all XU-1's with an aussie 4 speed had the XU-1 M20 box with 2.54:1, 1.83:1, 1.25:1, 1:1 ratios. As far as I know the M21 version (with 1.38:1 3rd) was only homlogated for race purposes. Both boxes use the same input shaft. This means you can also convert a V8 M21 box to a 6cyl M21 using this input shaft if you want a close ratio 6cyl box.

They are $275 each plus a few bucks for postage (less than $10 to most of Australia). If you are in Melbourne and want one i'll direct you to where to get them from there for the same price to save you a couple of bucks postage. I'm going to put a few on ebay, but thought i'd offer them here first for genuine enthusiasts. I also have a limited stock of NOS Genuine GMH M21 V8 input shafts. I'm going to keep most of them for rebuilt boxes, but if you desperately want one let me know via email.
I'll move this post over to the 4-sale section after a few days.

Byron
