hey wheres the best place to buy a b+m shifter,
somewhere I can compare the different types, and price??
tried lookin on this site, and cant see any comparisons, and they were too expensive.

Try VPW in australia, or Summit or Jegs out of the USA.

I have dealt with VPW and Summit, and they are both really efficient and effective.

I have just been looking myself, and have noticed something. All of the shifters available in Aus & NZ are the shifters with gear display on the left hand side. On the summit website, there are actually two models which are for RHD cars, gear indication

I`ve heard they can defect you for the selector on the wrong side, I have a Hurst promatic 2 shifter on the T400 with the selector for LHD .
I wonder if they can sell just the casing for looks for RHD so it looks good when the man looks in your window LO

jest wonderin,,,can these shifter doobilakies, be mounted ona small pedastal, make them higher? does it make much diff, if they are mounted on the dash? sort of like in the mercedes vans?? cause mine is in a 98 transit, and i would like the extra height??

I've been using B&M Megashifters for years. I reckon they're spot on for Street cars as they have all the normal lockouts etc, plus they are a ratchet shifter through 1,2,D.if you do a bit of racing. The rest of the gears are like a nomal shifter with a h

Most of the mail order warehouse sell them for pretty good prices. I bought 2 last year from American Auto Parts and they were just over $300 each. They may be cheaper now with the exchange rate to US dollars being so good atm.
