i also heard if they run out of M21 they will use an M20
is this true and how do i check the gearbox
and how can i read the vin number
also how much would it be worth
it has an L34 spec engine (not genuine)

Yet another BS myth (that you've been told).
To check the box you'd have to pull the side cover off and read the number on the cluster.
The VIN number is on the long skinny plate. Starts with 8D69 if it's an SLR.
The L34 spec engine will make no differ

JC7? It's not JC7, it's MC7 and no road going A9X ever had that code. All factory A9X's had M21, the MC7 or T10 was a dealer fitted option, so no change was made to the compliance plate.
M20 was never slotted behind the 308 in a Torana. Why don't you pos

That's interesting. I've seen A9X tags with JC7 and assumed it was the T10 code, but MC7 makes sense as it's the same code as a HQ Muncie.

Thats interesting. Ive seen A9X tags with JC7 and assumed it was the T10 code, but MC7 makes sense as its the same code as a HQ Muncie.

Must be the same one I saw. It was a GMP&A shell in white with slate black trim. L31, JC7, GU4.

I had a guy on another forum post that the wheel flares on the A9X were dealer fitted not factory fitted. Is this correct as I was under the impression they came from the factory with the bonnet scoop, flares and spoiler?
