I have a VR wagon which is dual fuel, the petrol tank is a smaller unit than standard about 45-50lts , the gas tank sits in the rear part of the sparewheel well (ex-telstra car), What I need to know is ,is there any reason this cant have a full size petrol tank installed.? (The gas is not working properly and may cost a grand to update the engine bay components ).

the spare wheel well has been modified toward the rear of the car close to the tailgate and the filler has been put in next to the petrol filler behind the standard flap. the spare wheel sits upright on the side on a bracket.

Pop your head underneath & have a look at the tank shape. If it still runs across under the spare, then I'd suggest it should work, butif it's been cut short to allow a deeper spare wheel well, then I'd suggest major metal surgery before a stock tank wil
