Hi Fellas,
I need a gearbox cross-member that I can modify to fit a Toyota 5-speed to an LC Torana. There is a cross member on ebay from an LJ that had an Aussie 4-speed. Can this be readily modified to suit?
My LC currently has the Opel box, and Ill keep it and the original cross member so I can return to original if needed.

Thanks Byron.
Maybe a dumb question but .... Does this sort of modification need an engineer certificate?

Im in ACT. Im thinking no-one would look at the conversion as part of an annual rego check. But the car has been in storage for a few years, so it would go over the pits.
Ill either re-register with the standard gearbox, then convert gearb

Well if you are in the ACT then the motor registry in Dickson has a tech standards section. Sometimes they are very good at telling you exactly what you need to do for common swaps such as placing a 179 in a 4cyl commodore as I once did.
