G'day guys
I'm looking at building a stroker cleveland.
I know a number of drag racers are using the 393 cranks. Why not the 408's which are available?
I will be chasing torque as much as horsepower as it will be used for towing a horse float amongst all the other things a ute does.
This is not a race car but you can never have a work ute with too much get up and go

Thanks
Mike

Either 408 or 393 SCAT crank will suffice. It'll be just a matter of availability at the time of purchase. That couple of cubes will make a hp difference but bugger all difference torque wise.

G'day XB351
Thanks for the reply
I wasn't sure if the 408's had a bad reputation for braking or bending bits that the 393 didn't
