Just got the HT on the road after a long stint in the shed. Before it was pulled off the road it had new rotors and pads on the front. Now the brakes squeal at every available opportunity. I know this is a problem with this model. But how do you over come it?? there must be an easy way to fix it.
Thanks

I had a HR Premier that did the same thing, apparently it's the brake dust being caught between the pad and rotor. The fix was to cut a slot in the pad from top to bottom but leave around 3mm to contact against the metal base of the pad. This gives a re |

you need to run your pads in properly.
drive at 60kph, and with your foot on the accelerator, slow the car to 50kph - and repeat about 15-20 times.
then do a couple of really hot, hard stops and if your pads squeal after that, then shoot me.

Its usually vibrations between the metal backing plate of the pad and the piston...I put silastic on mine and it stopped...neutral cure silastic.
