Can somebody help me out please...Ive just replaced the oil pan seals on a 186, everything seemed ok with the placement of new cork side gaskets and new front and rear neoprene seals until the bolts went tightened (not very tight by the way). The front seal is starting to "bulge" out around one bolt hole and the cork gaskets each side at the back too, right at the point where they meet the rear pan seal.

Is this normal? If not, what am I doing wrong?

Any advice much appreciated.

I agree if its starting to bulge out its probably too tight. did you use sealant as well?
