i still have that motor that your talking about.
i think its a blue, painted black, its sitting in a WB chassis also.
VL prefix, will check the printout of engine prefixes.

Thats what my VK service manual shows to..black heads all the same port shape.

ports are about 3/8" diameter with I think 3/8" gas thread. there are 6 of them.
