hello, my battery died in my vs/s. i need a new one but i dont know much about cars so could you please help me. i want to know how much a new battery will cost me.. thank you. bekky

bekky. i have found the cheapest and best batteries, from the RACV, once i had to join, to get it, but it almost paid for itself.? because of becoming a member? and then i got a years subscrision, as well. worth a thought?

if you are in victoria, you can join over the phone, and they will come out and get you going as well. if you are in nsw, NRMA, same deal. cheers. where are you?

Probably between $90 and $130. There are more expensive ones available though.
Pop into Supercheap or somewhere similar and grab one.

how do you know the battery is no good?? maybe it is not charged? you may be wasting your money? you need to find out waht the exact problem is first?

my battery is over 2 years old and my girlfriend tells me that it would be dead by now. i think its time for a new one

just quietly beccy, if my girlfriend told me that my battery would be dead by now, after 2 years, i would be sticking a meter on it to see,?? whether it is a battery problemo, or low on water, or an alternator problem, or whether the leads need cleaning, |

I think you either need to get advice or assistance from someone who knows what they are doing.
Car repairs cost money. There is no way around it but sometimes paying a professional can end up cheaper in the long run.

Just go to a wrecker in the morning and see if they can help you out. yes, 2 years is about it for a battery.

go to your local tyre and battery shop, diffens or similar (not k mart I have found their prices skyhigh) get the battery tested, $90 is not too bad I paid $80 for a small Suzuki one, but make sure it has the 24 month warranty, and put the receipt somewhe

it wouldnt start the last few mornings, but would run all day after a push start from the neighbours. they also say it is the battery, but they dont mind giving me a pushin in the morn...
