hi fellas. just bolting up my gearbox and wondering if theres anything i should be doing? ie. do i need to fill the converter up with oil before i put the gearbox on or will it fill up when i fill the gearbox up? other than that, do i basically just bolt the converter to the flexplate then slide the shafts in to it? i know it may sound like a stupid question but ive never done it before and just wana make sure i'm doing it right. thanks heaps.

I wouldn't bother filling the converter but you don't bolt it to the flexplate what you do is slide it onto the gearbox shaft and carefully rotate it till it locks into the key. If it does not lock into the key it will stick out about 1/2" and will not bo

I find the best way to fit a converter is to firstly put some auto transmission oil on the shaft so it lubricates the seal (always use a new seal), slide it onto the box and then rotate it slowely as you are putting light inwards pressure on it. It should
