has anyone here tried this before? i've had to put a collapsable column into my xp due to a v8 conversion and decided to use a xw column. i've also put in rack a pinion and need a bit of help. just wondering how i support the shaft inside the column? bearings, bushes etc? does anyone know of anyone that doessteering column conversions cause i'm not too confident of my setup at the moment. thanks.

the xw column didn't come with any bushes because i assume it was attached to a steering box. i've now splined the end of the steering shaft and it attaches to the intermediate shaft and then to the rack. the shaft now flops around inside the column and i

I thought there was a plastic bush at the bottom from memory. Mine flpped around a little, so I made an aluminium bracket that bolted to the inside of the firewall and clamped to the base of the steering column, It took all movement out.
