I purchased my HJ GTS Monaro in Canberra in 1989, where due to a new family its been stored in my garage for the last 10 years. All it needs is four new tyres and
registration and its back on the road. Wanted to sell it and buy a boat however both my wife and nine year old were totally opposed to the idea.

VIN 8Q69TEH852462J

Model 8WQ69JR
Body 852462-S
Trim 1886-18X
Paint 568-15949

Engine L31
Transmission M21
Axle GV4

Its build date is 5/75, and there is no typo with the gearbox its a M21 (close ratio 500rpm drop between changes). My question is what orginal colour should it be ? Its what Ive always described to others as "safety yellow".

Most 5 litre manuals from this time until the VKs were M21s, M20 were the stock box for 202s and 253s.
