Can a 1968 model 307 chev motor be put into a 1970 HG Holden

depends what you mean the motor will fit no probs .but to be registered it has to go over the pits for inspection as the hg never came out with the 307 you can put a 253 308 350 & register with no probs but i only speak for south australia may change st

Won't be an issue in NSW as it's smaller than the original 308 and 350. Only needs a blue slip (identity check).
HT and HG are basically identical in all areas that matter, and a 307 was standard in early HT so actual fitment is also easy. For ease of fi

thanks hazzard & byron. i`m in nsw, my only concern really was putting the older motor into later model car but thought it might be ok as both are pre pollution.
was going to go with the th350 any way
