are all 202 water pumps the same ? i heard the 3.3 blue pump is a better pump cheers

I've cut & pasted this from another forum, where I answered a similar question a while ago.


Many parts catalogues don’t list these pumps properly.

There are actually 4 different water pumps for the Holden Red/Blue/Black 6.

1. EH to
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

thanks dr terry so the jumbo pump w815 would be best for cooling right ? cheers ps if thats not a dumb statement

AFAIK they all pump the same volume in factory form. I don't think a Jumbo pump would pump any more water than an EH/HK pump, but it does have a bigger (stronger ??) bearing.

It does appear however, that some aftermarket pumps with pressed

My point was that the STD GM stuff is "a OK"
ok up to 2 HP : 1 Cubic inch.

I'd have to agree totally with Terry on the uselessness of the pressed stell impellers. My Overlander's red 308 had an aftermarket pump on it with the cheap impeller. When I changed it to a later model pump with the bigger bearing it had the cast iron bar
